In 2003, Governor Kenny Guinn appointed him as a commissioner to the State of Nevada Homeland Security Commission.
Mr. Alamshaw received a Bachelor of Science Degree in the Administration of Criminal Justice from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, in 1977.
Mr. Alamshaw helped develop the concept and co-produced the television show “Code Four Suspect In Custody”, which aired on the Fox Network in Las Vegas.
Mr. Alamshaw has over 35 years of combined law enforcement and private investigator experience. He retired from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a Detective Lieutenant in the Robbery/Homicide Bureau. During his lengthy career he conducted numerous homicide, robbery, violent crime, and narcotics investigations. In addition, he has investigated cases of political corruption, as well as cases involving prominent individuals.
Mr. Alamshaw is a proud member of the Nevada Society of Professional Investigators. The NSPI was formed to preserve the rights of Nevada’s investigators through uniform standards, procedures and interpretation of the law.
